Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb-Memorial mausoleum in Indian history

Situated in Agra on the left bank of the Yamuna River one of most beautiful tomb and Indian historical place is Itmad-ud-daulah’s tomb. There are several places to be seen here. The first and foremost is Salim Chisti’s dargah.King Akbar had taken blessings for getting a son here. His visit was successful when he was blessed with a son, named Salim due to the blessings of Sheikh Chisti. So, Emperor Akbar made Fatehpur Sikri as the capital of Mughal Empire. Several people come here even today to pray for the fulfillment of their wishes. At the gate of dargah, they tie the threads and pray for the fulfillment of wish.

The Jumma Masssjid, Where this dargah is located exactly similar to the main mosque of Makka. The dargah is made in mixed architecture of Irani and Hindu style. Some of the pilgrims put the chadder here on the grave of Salim Chisti’s dargah. Every year, there is an urs held here. Buland Darwaza is the next spot here. This is around 85 feet high and full of Mughal architecture.Panchmahal is the palace of five stories, built on pillars.

This was the official Place of Jodhabai, King Akbar’s queen.Fatehpur Sikri is made on the solid rocky soil and is located at some height of around 500 feet. Fatehpur Sikri has history and beauty, both of its own and that is evident even today from the remaining structure of this historical city.

Chini Ka Rauza— One of the Most Famous Historical Places in India

Located in Agra on the east bank of the River Yamuna one of the most famous and beautiful tomb of India is Chini ka Rauza.It is the first mausoleum in India which has been exclusively decorated by the glazed title works. It is known as attractive tourist destination in Agra.

Chini Ka Rauza is the mausoleum of Allama Afzal Khan Mullah of Shiraz who was poet and prime minister of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This historical shrine was built in1635.The primary attraction of tomb is its glazed title decoration that dominates the architectural composition of the exterior and interior of the building.

Chini Ka Rauza is a beautiful rectangular shaped shrine with a bulbous tomb, decorated in the style of an inverted lotus flower. The central chamber of the mausoleum is octagonal in shape and has eight recesses. The main mausoleum building is simple in plan and lacks architectural ornamentation.

Chini Ka Rauza is small mausoleum that overlooks the river Yamuna. The mausoleum is fine architectural example of pure and undiluted Persian architecture.
