AgraTaj Mahal

Taj Mahal stands in the city of Agra, in the northern Indian state of Uttartaj Pradesh, on the banks of the Yamuna River. It was built in the memory of the beautiful Arjumand Bano Begum, who won the heart of a Mughal prince. She was married at 21 to Emperor Jahangir’s third son Prince Khurram and stayed loyally by his side through good times and bad: in the luxurious royal palaces of Agra as well as the transient tents of war camps.

Aaram Bagh in Agra

Aram Bagh also knownalarmagra as Bagh-I-Gul Afshan meaning the Flower-Scattering Garden’ was originally founded by the first Mughal Emperor, Babur He laid this garden in 1526 A.D on the Persian terraced and Charbagh meaning ‘four-quartered’ plan. This is the first Mughal garden with this type of architecture. He constructed this garden after he saw such gardens at Samarqand. The garden was later on known by the name of Ram Bagh when the Marathas occupied Agra during 1775 A.D to 1803 A.D.
