Aram Bagh also known
as Bagh-I-Gul Afshan meaning the Flower-Scattering Garden’ was originally founded by the first Mughal Emperor, Babur He laid this garden in 1526 A.D on the Persian terraced and Charbagh meaning ‘four-quartered’ plan. This is the first Mughal garden with this type of architecture. He constructed this garden after he saw such gardens at Samarqand. The garden was later on known by the name of Ram Bagh when the Marathas occupied Agra during 1775 A.D to 1803 A.D.
