His visit was successful when he was blessed with a son, named Salim due to the blessings of Sheikh Chisti. So, Emperor Akbar made Fatehpur Sikri as the capital of Mughal Empire. The Jumma Masssjid, Where this dargah is located exactly similar to the main mosque of Makka. The dargah is made in mixed architecture of Irani and Hindu style. Hey!
I have been to this place. It is a holy divine peaceful place. I visited following places on my visit to Fatehpur Sikri
(a) Bulund Darwaza
(b) Diwan-i-Aam
(c) Diwan-i-khas
(d) Panch Mahal
(e) Jama Masjid
(f) Dargah – Sheikh Salim Chisti
(g) Karawan Serai
(h) Hiran or Deer Minar
(i) Palace of Christian Wife
Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of Mughal emperor Akbar for 12 years. It was named as victorious city as Fateh (Urdu) is Win (English) after his victory over Gujarat.
Best thing I like about this place is that it brings people together. You feel this when you visit Palace of Jodhabai ( A hindu wife of Akbar) and Palace of Christian Wife built up adjacent to each other built by a Mughal. What a religious combination, fantastic!
Let us all learn from these great people and bring everyone close to your heart leaving religion and cast apart.
Thanks for reading out. Please visit all the places next time when you visit fatehpur sikri and taj mahal in agra a monument of love, devotion and dedication
